This team is responsible for sourcing Technology purchases (Software, Software as a Service, Infrastructure) on a regional and global basis. Primary responsibility is to develop, negotiate and implement sourcing strategies by working with key stakeholders on technology requirements, IT, security and legal, which then requires preparing and completing sourcing recommendations to various levels of management.
What You'll Do:

Understand the IT industry and the strategic direction GM/Software and Services is headed.

Ability to work effectively cross-functionally, internally and externally, while building strong relationships
-
Partner with IT and Business on strategy of supply base, technologies, products used, future products, technology roadmap, and viable suppliers for technology requirements.

Work with Suppliers on governance and deliveries, including sound understanding of deadlines, required lead times, supplier contracts and application types.

Active participation with key stakeholders, including Software and Services IT, the business stakeholders, Legal, Security and Privacy, among others.

Proactively manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines.

Adheres to corporate purchasing and accounting policies and procedures.

Negotiate competitive pricing, favorable and robust terms, and other items to complete a full contract package.

Develop and maintain benchmark data to drive a strategy

Utilize GPSC Sourcing Process to manage Sourcing packages, while navigating ambiguous situations.

Utilize GPSC Sourcing Process (Request for Quotation, Analysis of Quotation, Source Selection) to establish a capable/competitive supply base.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
-
2+ years of relevant experience in purchasing (any internship or co-op experience will not be considered),
-
Understanding of Legal and Commercial Terms and Conditions with the ability to negotiate and assess risk

Project management skills
-
Understand basic software concepts

Capability to function independently and navigate ambiguous situations

Proficient communication skills
-
High level knowledge (or ability to learn) about items being purchased
-
Analytical skills, including the ability to do in-depth benchmarking
-
Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, and prioritize requests
-
Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals

Knowledge of computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Research)

SAP experience or ability to learn purchasing systems

Must be willing to travel 5% of the time domestically + Internationally

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

The salary range for this role is ( 95,200- 126,500 ). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
