Sponsorship: GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU WILL NEED GM IMMIGRATION SPONSORSHIP (e.g., H-1B, TN, STEM OPT, etc.) NOW OR IN THE FUTURE.
Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid on day shift. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Philippines office three times per week or at a frequency dictated by the business.
The Role
TRACK PH is GM’s early‑career leadership and rotational program in the Philippines. It’s designed for high‑potential fresh graduates who want to fast track their careers in Finance, gain broad exposure across GBS, and work on real business-critical projects from Day One. Successful Track PH - NextGen Program Trainees may be considered for promotion into a more senior role after completing two rotations, subject to performance and business needs, positioning you strongly for a long-term career at GM.
Over two rotations (around 12 months each), you’ll:
-
Step into a challenging yet well-supported role in one of our GBS Teams (e.g: General Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Customs, Fraud, HR Operations, People Services, etc.) designed to build future leaders
-
Own meaningful work and projects (daily responsibilities and special projects) that develop your leadership, problem solving and collaboration skills
-
Be supported by a structured learning development plan together with your people manager and dedicated mentor to accelerate your learning and expand your network
What You’ll Do
Your exact work will depend on your host team, but typical responsibilities include:
-
Analyze and work with real business data (e.g., financial reports, reconciliations, tax schedules, HR metrics, dashboards).
-
Prepare reports, schedules, or trackers used by senior leaders to make decisions.
-
Drive process improvements and automations (e.g., using AI or automation tools to streamline manual work, standardizing templates across teams, cleaning up backlogs and improving data quality, building dashboards that drive insights).
-
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Tax, GA, FP&A, HR, Operations, Transformation, etc.) and learn the end‑to‑end process, not just your step.
-
You will work under the guidance of experienced team members and leaders, following established procedures, with your work periodically reviewed to support your development and ensure quality of outcomes.
-
Participate in learning sessions, brown bags, and cohort events that build your leadership and technical skills.
You will not be doing “shadow work” but you’ll have clear responsibilities, real deliverables, and regular feedback.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of each 12-month rotation, you can expect to:
-
Build strong fundamentals in your assigned area (e.g., general accounting close, statutory reporting, tax compliance, financial analysis, HR operations, or process improvement).
-
Strengthen analytics skills (Excel, data visualization, basic tools like Power BI or similar).
-
Practice problem‑solving and process thinking – identify root causes, design and test solutions, and measure impact.
-
Grow communication and stakeholder management skills by working with managers and partners across the organization.
-
Develop a portfolio of work (reports, dashboards, improvements) that you can confidently showcase in future roles.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
-
Fresh graduate with a degree in any Data Science-related or Finance-related field (e.g. Accountancy, Financial Management, Business Management, Banking & Finance, Economics, etc.)
-
Strong academic performance – (e.g., Graduated with Honors / Dean’s Lister preferred).
-
Strong curiosity and learning mindset – you ask “why” and want to understand how things work.
-
Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills (comfortable with numbers and data).
-
Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
-
Collaboration and leadership potential – led projects, orgs, or events in school or internships.
-
High learning agility, growth mindset, and openness to rotations.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
-
Internship or OJT experience in shared services, finance, audit, tax, HR, data analytics, consulting, or related environments.
-
Experience with Excel and, ideally, some exposure to data tools (e.g., Power BI, basic automation, coding).
What We Offer
-
A structured, ~2-year TRACK PH program made up of two ~12-month rotations, with clear responsibilities, goals, and regular coaching so you know what success looks like
-
Real exposure to GM’s operations in your roles in GBS Manila, seeing how your work supports a global business
-
Mentoring and regular check‑ins with leaders and HR to discuss your progress and development needs
-
Training in technical skills and soft skills (analytics, presentations, communication, problem‑solving).
-
A clear growth path where, after two successful rotations, you may be considered for promotion into a more senior role, based on your performance and business needs.
