As the Buick Assistant Marketing Manager , you will provide support and oversee the launch and lifecycle management of relevant Buick models, including development and execution of the marketing strategy through positioning, pricing, packaging, messaging, and various cross-functional marketing activities in support of business objectives. Job responsibilities also include understanding the customer, competition, and the segment dynamics, identifying market trends, appropriate packaging and preparing for the next generation vehicles.

This position reports to the Marketing Manager – Buick Crossovers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop model positioning, marketing strategies, strategic briefs, and marketing plans aligned with Buick priorities.
  • Translate consumer research, segment trends, competitive intelligence, and marketing data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Define product messaging from key vehicle attributes and market trends for consumer, dealer, wholesale, and media audiences.
  • Guide creative development by providing direction on scope, target customers, and key messages within the Buick brand framework.
  • Review consumer and dealer communications, press releases, playbooks, and order guides to ensure message effectiveness and product accuracy.
  • Lead comprehensive communication plans for mid-cycle updates and major product launches in partnership with Communications, Product, and Advertising teams.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Expertise to refine strategies, coordinate execution, and maximize relevant divisional and adjacency promotions.
  • Partner with supply chain, scheduling, and order fulfillment teams to anticipate production and forecasting challenges and develop creative solutions.
  • Serve as the vehicle subject-matter expert by developing field training guides, trailering resources, and dealer-facing product training.
  • Analyze pricing, incentives, and execution data to provide clear recommendations to Sales Operations, regional teams, and Finance.
  • Equip field teams with timely, consistent brand updates, recommended ordering configurations, and constraint communications.
  • Use data and analytics to develop points of view for current and future products and implement strategies that elevate customer experience and advance brand goals.

You Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in divisional marketing, product marketing, sales and/or marketing COE functional experience
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Ability to work well in a complex team environment
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and prioritization to meet deadlines
  • Ability to synthesize data into critical information
  • Ability to make/recognize effective trade-off decisions that balance multiple considerations
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Highly developed presentation skills both in the development and delivery of presentation
  • Proven ability to use complex data to form in-depth analytical insights
  • High level of expertise within Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel, 10-15% domestically
