Why join us?
General Motors pioneers the innovations that move and connect people to what matters. We see a world with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion. As we move toward this vision, software plays an increasingly central role in how customers experience our vehicles.
Our ambition in Automated Driving Product Management is to build a world‑class product and software culture that delivers differentiated, trustworthy, and scalable software‑defined vehicle experiences, including Super Cruise – GM’s flagship hands-free eyes-on-the-road driving capability and a cornerstone of our leadership in automated driving.
The Role
We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to help lead Super Cruise customer engagement and quality initiatives across vehicle programs and platforms, defining the frameworks and guardrails that guide how we measure and deliver hands-free performance at scale and establish consistent, repeatable standards adopted across vehicle programs, platforms, and regions. The role is accountable for data driven insights to optimize product performance, prioritizing tradeoffs, and ensuring Super Cruise delivers a consistent, trustworthy experience across vehicle programs and sensing platforms. Working across engineering, safety, quality, program management, and marketing, you will play a key role in making Super Cruise the most widely adopted and profitable automated driving feature in the world.
This role requires the ability to operate in fast-paced environments, demonstrate principled decision-making, and build consensus with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class hands-free driving experiences. We expect you to be proactive, influential, and navigate complex organizational dynamics while keeping customer, safety, and business outcomes front and center.
What You’ll Do
· Lead initiatives using data, research, and market analysis to define the Super Cruise engagement and quality strategy, with outputs that inform executive decisions and are adopted across vehicle programs and platforms.
· Establish and prioritize product requirements to solve key business and customer problems.
· Define and maintain frameworks that align software, systems, safety, quality, and vehicle programs on what ‘good’ looks like for hands-free performance and manage deviations from those frameworks with clear recommendations to leadership.
· Own the Super Cruise engagement and quality metric stack and use it to drive prioritization, influence roadmap and investment decisions, and directly inform business outcomes such as adoption, retention, and profitability across the Super Cruise portfolio.
· Serve as a subject matter expert for your product portfolio, providing guidance to internal teams and cross-functional partners by raising the overall bar for product thinking, metrics rigor, and decision quality.
· Communicate product status and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
· Monitor emerging trends to inform and drive execution of the product roadmap
· Help foster a data-driven culture and establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of Super Cruise initiatives
