The Role:
As the Global Senior Manager of Responsible Supply Chain Sourcing, you will lead the development and execution of the responsible sourcing program across direct and indirect supply chains. In this role, you will help strengthen sourcing practices, support business continuity, and promote clear standards for supplier performance across the supplier lifecycle. Working cross-functionally across the business, you will help embed responsible sourcing expectations into supplier selection, contracting, performance management, and continuous improvement. This role also has a strong compliance focus, driving adherence to global regulatory requirements and this individual will help translate policy and regulatory expectations into practical processes, controls, and supplier-facing requirements, while partnering across the organization to monitor compliance, address risks, and drive resolution of issues.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

Own and evolve the Responsible Sourcing strategy, roadmap, and governance, including policies, standards, and procedures aligned to the Supplier Code of Conduct and applicable regulations.

Lead supplier due diligence and risk assessment processes (e.g., country/commodity risk, supplier risk screening, conflict minerals/critical minerals, human rights, and other similar risk areas) and define risk-based mitigation actions.

Plan and manage supplier assessments and audits (desktop and/or on-site) in collaboration with third parties and internal stakeholders; track findings, corrective action plans (CAPs), and verification of closure.

Build trust and partnerships – Partner internally with Purchasing and Legal to integrate responsible sourcing requirements into sourcing packages, supplier onboarding, contracts, and supplier performance management (including training and communications). Actively lead engagement with external industry partners.

Develop and maintain program metrics, dashboards, and management reporting; prepare leadership updates and support external reporting needs (e.g., customer requests, sustainability reporting, regulatory submissions).

Provide clear and timely updates to senior leadership

Support and deploy innovative supply chain risk management solutions within your area.

Develop talent and organizational capability , including day-to-day coaching, performance management, and career development for team members, ensuring alignment with GM values and behaviors.
Top candidates will demonstrate:

Deep expertise in Supply Chain, Procurement, Compliance, Sustainability/ESG, and/or Responsible Sourcing , with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives or projects and driving measurable improvements within their function.

Knowledge of responsible sourcing and human rights due diligence concepts (risk assessment, supplier engagement, audits/assessments, corrective action, and continuous improvement), including familiarity with common frameworks and expectations (e.g., OECD Due Diligence Guidance, Supplier Codes of Conduct)

Advanced communication and storytelling skills , including the ability to create executive-ready materials that translate complex concepts and data into clear, compelling insights.

Strong customer-centric leadership , with the ability to listen to the voice of the customer, influence stakeholders at multiple levels, and effectively teach and coach others.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ; able to interpret risk data, prioritize actions, and drive timely remediation in a dynamic environment

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree required
-
10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Compliance, Sustainability/ESG, and/or Responsible Sourcing.

Proven track record of people leadership experience directly leading teams with a minimum of 4-5 people, driving results, and personal accountability with oneself and team

Proven negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills applied to complex, high-impact business decisions.

Demonstrated success operating in a multi-stakeholder environment, setting expectations, aligning stakeholders, and following through on commitments.

Strong project/program management capability, driving initiatives to completion under tight deadlines and competing priorities.

Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to distill complex issues into clear, concise messages for diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications (What Gives You a Competitive Edge)

Experience with supplier risk tools, audit platforms, or sustainability data systems; strong Excel/data analysis skills

Experience with commodities (aluminum, minerals, metals, resins, stampings, castings, plastics, electronics, etc.)

Experience supporting responsible sourcing topics such as human rights due diligence, conflict minerals/critical minerals reporting, deforestation, or greenhouse gas/supplier decarbonization initiatives
-
Exposure or experience in the mining industry.

Strong facilitation and training skills, including the ability to create clear guidance and deliver supplier/internal trainings

Familiarity with multi-tier supply chains and traceability approaches; capable of interpreting market, geo-political, and regulatory signals and translating them into sourcing risk actions

Lead with courage and expertise – bring passion for responsible sourcing, sufficient subject-matter depth, and the ability to have hard conversations.
