The Role:
As the Launch Readiness Manager (LRM) you will be part of the Supply Chain team, serving as the single point of accountability for all Supply Chain launch readiness activities across new vehicle programs at the assembly plant. You will lead the end-to-end supply chain integration from concept phase through Start of Regular Production (SORP), ensuring 100% material availability, Engineering Change alignment, and supplier readiness at every program milestone.
In this role you will act as a strategic cross-functional connecting Program Management, Engineering, Direct Purchasing, Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), and Material Handling to deliver flawless vehicle launches across all active programs.
What You'll Do:

Lead all Supply Chain launch activities from concept through SORP for all new vehicle programs.

Own program launch readiness outcomes and represent Supply Chain at all cross-functional program reviews.

Ensure business objectives and launch KPIs are achieved or exceeded across material readiness, supplier capacity, and MRP compliance.

Build and sustain strong working relationships with Program Management, Engineering, Direct Purchasing, SQE, and Material Handling teams.

Drive issue resolution to eliminate or minimize supply chain impact on vehicle launch milestones.
Program Launch Management:

Own Break Point communication for all newly introduced local commodities.

Align with Program Management on launch dates and Manufacturing Validation Builds (MVBs).

Coordinate with Engineering and Direct Purchasing on supply conditions for new programs.

Place the first Sub-KD orders and set up master data for all new launch projects.

Ensure all local launch parts are planned and available before each program milestone.

Hand off complete launch operations to each Material Planner at SORP.
MRP & Engineering Change Management:

Track Engineering Changes weekly through EIT and coordinate MRP run out so old material clears in time for the new break point.
Supplier Capacity & Risk Management:

Lead Capacity Tracking Reviews (CTR) for volume increases, working with MRP, SQE, and Direct Purchasing to confirm suppliers can meet demand.

Maintain bi-weekly action plans for 100% of high-risk suppliers.

Track 100% of Sub-KD and direct-buy imported pipelines monthly.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualification)
Educational and Experience Background:
-
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry.

Demonstrated experience in vehicle launch operations, MRP/ERP systems (SAP or equivalent), and supplier management.

Prior exposure to cross-functional program environments (Engineering, Purchasing, Supplier Quality) is strongly preferred.

APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
