The person in this role will work closely with business partners, operations teams, and technical teammates to understand pain points, design scalable solutions, and deliver high-quality software that drives measurable impact. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys turning ideas into working products and using technology to simplify complex work.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Develop workflow automations that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate turnaround time.

  • Create data-driven solutions that help teams monitor performance, identify trends, and make better decisions.

  • Apply AI and analytics capabilities where they provide clear business value, including summarization, pattern detection, prediction, or process support.

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate needs into technical solutions.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using standard engineering practices.

  • Support solution deployment, troubleshooting, enhancement, and continuous improvement after launch.

  • Build dashboards, reports, or lightweight interfaces that make information easier to access and act on.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and technical design discussions.

  • Contribute ideas that improve engineering practices, delivery speed, and overall solution quality.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting software applications or automation solutions.

  • Proficiency in at least one back end modern programming language such as Python, SQL, or C#.

  • Proficiency in at least one front end modern programming language such as Visual Basic, JavaScript, or Java.

  • Experience working with APIs, data integration, PLC, or system-to-system connectivity.

  • Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data transformation concepts.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex business needs into practical technical solutions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience building internal tools, workflow automations, or low-friction digital products for business users.

  • Experience with analytics, reporting, or dashboard tools.

  • Experience applying AI or machine learning capabilities in a business setting.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, version control, and modern software development practices.

  • Experience working in manufacturing, operations, or plant-facing environments.

  • Experience improving processes through automation and data-driven decision-making.

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: $98,300.00 - $150,700.00. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
