- Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of AutoSAR basic software stacks across multiple ECUs.
- Define and enforce platform software standards, interfaces, and best practices for suppliers and internal teams.
- Drive reuse of platform components and configurations across vehicle programs and ECUs.
- Analyze end-to-end system behavior (CPU load, memory usage, latency, bus utilization) and propose optimization strategies.
- Identify root causes of system-level stability issues (deadlocks, timing violations, resource contention) and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with suppliers and internal teams to ensure that performance and stability targets are met for production programs.
- Use CANoe, Vehicle Spy, Lauterbach and other debugging/profiling tools to investigate complex issues at ECU, network, and system level.
- Build and maintain debugging and measurement methodologies that can be reused by the wider team.
- Provide hands-on support during critical validation phases, including bench, HIL, and in‑vehicle testing.
- Act as the primary technical counterpart for suppliers on AutoSAR platform and low-level software topics.
- Review supplier designs, code, and test strategies, and provide concrete improvement feedback.

- Enables effective technical reviews and guidance for suppliers’ platform implementations.
- Strong C/C++ skills.
- Critical for reviewing and improving supplier-delivered code and for developing reference implementations and tools.
- Familiarity with common automotive chips and peripherals, considering hardware constraints in software design and optimization (e.g., multi-core SoCs, timers, DMA, communication controllers).
- Shortens debug cycles by understanding hardware-software interactions.
- Proficiency with CANoe, Vehicle Spy, Lauterbach and other debugging tools, supports building robust debug and measurement frameworks that can be adopted across the team.
- Necessary to handle system-level problems spanning multiple ECUs, dependencies, and suppliers.
- System-level stability and performance optimization capability, the engineer must be able to think beyond a single module or ECU and optimize at the system level.
