This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to GM Warren Technical Center (WTC) three times per week, or as dictated by business needs.
GM has an opening for a C hevrolet Assistant Retail Marketing Manager within the Chevrolet Sales Operations Group.
The Chevrolet Retail Marketing team leads Chevrolet’s retail go-to-market campaigns across our ICE and EV portfolio, and this role will play a key role in the Chevrolet Retail Group , Chevrolet’s retail growth engine.
This position will actively support and shape monthly retail messaging strategy and execution, with a focus on bringing tech-forward, digital-first ideas to life and connecting them to what matters most for our dealers and LMAs. The role will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, and will lead day-to-day relationships with several external partners.
Day-to-day activities require a high level of flexibility, the ability to make independent decisions, and strong judgment—while maintaining accuracy, creativity, and initiative. What You’ll Do

Play an active role in the Chevrolet Retail Group , helping align national retail strategy, GTM plans, and content with the needs of regions, LMAs, and dealers.

Assist the Retail Marketing Manager in developing and executing Chevrolet’s monthly go-to-market (GTM) retail strategy across the portfolio, with a strong focus Silverado and our core SUV nameplates.

Independently identify opportunities to strategically position Chevrolet’s most important nameplates with compelling, insight-driven retail messaging.

Assist in the development, documentation, and deployment of the Retail Scope of Business and “Run the Business” processes (calendars, playbooks, routines).

Manage relationships with external partners (creative agencies, media agencies, and adjacency support organizations) to deliver integrated traditional and digital campaigns on time and on brief.

Provide cross-functional collaboration on retail strategies with Brand, Incentives, Finance, Field, Media, and CRM teams.

Serve as a primary subject matter expert on traditional and digital go-to-market tactics (broadcast TV, digital video, audio/radio, social, search, display, and dealer-facing assets).

Serve as a conduit of communication to the Chevrolet Regional Operations team and LMAs, helping translate national strategy into clear, actionable field and dealer plans.

Support understanding and execution of GM/GMF incentives and programs, ensuring offers are accurately reflected in customer-facing retail communications.

Use data and insights (e.g., retail share, digital performance, lead metrics) to help optimize GTM plans and summarize performance in clear, concise stories for leadership and the field.

Respond to numerous ad-hoc requests related to monthly go-to-market executions and field/dealer needs.

Perform duties outside of normal scope on occasion as business needs evolve.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

5+ years of experience within the automotive industry, preferably in sales, marketing, planning, product management, or field/dealer roles.

Strong knowledge of the automotive market, GM products and the competitive environment.

Experience partnering with field teams, LMAs, and/or dealers on retail initiatives or go-to-market plans.

Occasional travel is required.
