About Pre-Production Operations:
All GM vehicles first launch at the Global Artisan Innovation Center (GAIC). Our team members are the first to integrate new innovations into vehicle programs for validation prior to saleable assembly to the public. As the industry is evolving, GAIC is adapting to change. Aside from building pre-production properties, we are a low volume production facility producing highly crafted bespoke vehicles for high profile customers. GAIC is one of the leading production facilities in General Motors that has vast experience in ICE and EV manufacture. We are currently developing multiple business channels that make working in our facility exciting and full of professional opportunities. We are constantly integrating new technologies such as robotics, new body joining technologies, 3D printing, advanced electrical architectures, & virtual reality assembly builds using the latest innovations available.

What You’ll Do:
This position is within General Motors’ Manufacturing Engineering organization, specifically the Global Artisan Innovation Center facilities, and is responsible for leading engineering, manufacturing, validation, quality, and supply chain efforts to ensure the successful execution of build events, and special projects. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively across many functions to drive program success. As an ACLM you will be responsible for the planning, readiness, execution, escalation, and the accurate reporting of status for every project/program managed. A strong sense of urgency, solid communication skills, and a collaborative work ethic are skills that will lend to success. You will be exposed to a large variety of corporate functions and staff through the process of performing your duties. As an ACLM, you will develop solid leadership skills that will become part of or further advance your skillset.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop the most cost-effective build strategy with your team

Coordinate virtual reality build events.

Engage global teams as required.

Lead all planning & readiness activities to support pre-production, low volume production and special projects as assigned.

Your Skills and Abilities:

High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or project management similar field
