Description

Why join us?

General Motors pioneers the innovations that move and connect people to what matters. We see a world with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion. As we move toward this vision, software and intelligent hardware play an integral role as they become more prominent in our vehicles.

Within Software & Services Product Management, we are building a world-class product development culture and a portfolio of software-defined vehicles by tightly integrating software, hardware, and services to create complete and compelling vehicle experiences for our customers.

Keys, locks, power doors, windows, and other entry systems sit at the heart of how customers first experience and trust our vehicles. From seamless, secure entry and delightful welcomes to advanced powered closures, this team shapes everyday interactions that must feel effortless, safe, and intuitive in every GM vehicle around the world.

The Role

The Staff Product Manager for Unified Entitlement & Fulfillment owns the strategy, roadmap, and execution for GM’s global entitlement and fulfillment stack for connected vehicle services. GM’s Unified Entitlement & Fulfillment Platform is essentially the “brain and plumbing” that decides who should get which connected services or digital upgrades, turns those services on/off in the car and apps, and verifies that everything is working correctly end-to-end.

This role is responsible for the unified platform pulls them together into one global source of truth and one consistent flow: entitlement → eligibility → activation → verification → observability. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that works across engineering, architecture, commercial teams, regional operations, and program management to land a multi‑year roadmap while actively managing data quality, observability, and operational risk in production.

What You’ll Do

  • Set and evolve the north star vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for GM’s Unified Entitlement & Fulfillment Platform within the broader OnStar & Customer Experience ecosystem.

  • Define clear problems, product requirements, and decision models that standardize capability, entitlement, and lifecycle logic across cloud and in‑vehicle systems.

  • Lead roadmap execution and prioritize the platform backlog with engineering, program management, and regional partners to deliver high‑impact milestones for vehicle and commercial launches.

  • Steer global entitlement rules, service‑code models, and catalog strategy so regional variants converge into a configurable, extensible global platform.

  • Own data quality, KPIs, and observability for entitlement and fulfillment flows, driving improvements that reduce defects, false denials, and operational fire‑drills.

  • Act as the primary cross‑functional leader and storyteller for the platform, aligning senior stakeholders, dependent product teams, and regional organizations.

  • Ensure strong governance, risk management, and compliance across entitlement decisions and feature activation, including auditability, privacy, and safety controls.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 4 years owning complex platform or infrastructure products (e.g., entitlements, identity/access, billing, decision engines, or large-scale backend platforms).

  • Proven track record defining and shipping multi‑year, multi‑team roadmaps that span cloud services, data platforms, and on‑device/embedded systems.

  • Strong systems-thinking skills and comfort working in problem spaces that combine rules/decisioning, data modeling, and high‑reliability operations.

  • Experience writing high‑quality PRDs/strategy documents and leading cross-functional teams (engineering, architecture, program management, operations, and business stakeholders).

  • Demonstrated ability to use data, telemetry, and observability signals to drive prioritization and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to synthesize complex technical topics into clear, outcome‑oriented narratives for senior leadership.

What will give you competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in connected vehicle, telematics, subscription/entitlement platforms, or other safety- and revenue‑critical digital services.

  • Familiarity with rule engines, decision models (e.g., features/capabilities/rules/facts), and global catalog/EDM systems.

  • Background working with regionalized architectures (different rules and products by country/region) and consolidating them into global platforms.

  • Experience with in‑vehicle software or embedded systems, especially for feature activation, OTA, or safety‑relevant functionality.

  • Prior ownership of platforms supporting high auditability and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, privacy, safety).
