This person will work as the Global Accounts Payable Operation Lead, responsible for AP Process ownership, collaborating with Global AP counterparts as well as other GM organizations. The role will focus on ensuring a robust control framework, driving efficiencies and common processes as well as lending support to other GM Teams to identify and implement AP solutions. The ability to effectively lead a global team and trouble-shoot / resolve complex issues is imperative.

We are looking for a team leader with thorough accounting, finance and process improvement capabilities. Work involves a high level of independent judgment, decision-making, creativity, and initiative.

This position will:

· Lead the AP Team, driving continuous improvement and best practice initiatives

· Monitor work of 3rd Party service provider to ensure transactions are processed with first time quality and in compliance with company policies.

· Lead the resolution of workflow, business/system processes, and technical issues

· Support new business initiatives, system changes, data sharing, etc.

· Re-engineer and standardize processes to gain efficiencies and eliminate waste

· Work collaboratively with GM cross-functional and project teams to support transformation initiatives

· Assist in the training and orientation of other team members and functional end users

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education/Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience

· Highly proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

· 7+ years of Finance experience, preferably in people leader role

· Demonstrated ability to recognize and implement process improvement opportunities

· Can effectively lead, communicate, and present across all levels of the organization

· Develop creative, workable solutions to complex issues

· High levels of initiative, creativity, independent judgment, and decision making

· Strong interpersonal skills and strong oral and written skills

· 7+ years of experience in Finance, with controls focus

· Process oversight and optimization

· Collaborative mindset, with thorough knowledge of GM Org structure

· Strong customer focus

· Deep understanding of GM corporate policies and procedures


 

Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the - Global HQ Warren, Mi three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]
