Signal and Power Distribution encompasses network signals, IOs, and low voltage (LV) power distribution across the electrical architecture.

You will set long-term strategic direction across hardware, software, and systems integration, lead a team of highly capable technology managers, and engage directly with senior executive stakeholders to drive organization-wide alignment. This role demands a rare combination of deep domain expertise, enterprise-level strategic thinking, and thought leadership to influence decisions at the highest levels of the company.

What You’ll Do

Technology Strategy and Vision

  • Lead executive reviews with VP-level stakeholders to drive alignment, decisions, and sustained organizational commitment

  • Continuously evolve strategy based on program feedback, competitive trends, and changing business needs

LV Power Architecture Ownership

  • Serve as the enterprise owner for core low-voltage power architecture artifacts, including:

  • Low Voltage Power Diagram: the released and change-controlled source for vehicle low-power schematics across the toolchain

  • Low Voltage Power Topology: the system topology for low-voltage electronics by vehicle segment, developed with Electrical Integration and used to guide design and packaging decisions

  • Low Voltage Budget Dashboard: the enterprise energy allocation baseline across low-voltage systems, including program-level change control, executive reviews, and optimization actions with engineering teams

  • Ensure strong governance, technical rigor, and cross-functional alignment across all architecture artifacts and related decisions

Market Intelligence and Competitive Positioning

  • Lead competitor benchmarking, market analysis, and technology assessments to identify opportunity areas and reduce strategic risk

  • Translate external trends into actionable direction for GM’s low-voltage power and signal technology strategy

Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of low-voltage power and signal technology managers, setting clear direction, building capability, and enabling high-velocity execution

  • Act as the enterprise escalation point for the most complex signal and power distribution decisions across programs and platforms

Portfolio and Investment Decisions

  • Lead make-versus-buy evaluations that shape GM’s in-house hardware strategy, capital investment, and resource allocation decisions

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field

  • 10+ years of engineering and technical leadership experience with demonstrated progression to senior leadership roles
