Descrição
Hybrid: This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu)
In this role, you will develop math design solutions that meet Seats subsystem and component requirements. You will apply independent problem-solving skills, collaborate across functions, and resolve technical issues involving seat foam, plastic, and stamping components.
You will also develop virtual integration solutions to support program requirements. This includes analyzing and interrogating virtual data from individual parts through the complete vehicle, including vehicle assembly structure, part design usage, and configuration.
Working under general supervision and with technical direction from a Design Leader Technical or Senior Designer, you will apply GM development processes, engineering best practices, standard modeling methods, and virtual integration principles to deliver high-quality math data and virtual layouts.
In this Role, you'll be responsible for:
Math Design and Component Development

Develop, refine, and finalize criteria and sections for Seats components and subsystems.
-
Create math data and virtual layouts for complex components and subsystems.
-
Apply standard modeling methods, design standards, engineering best practices, and Global infoBOOK Standards.
-
Apply manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and integration principles to component and subsystem designs.
-
Document and maintain material, mass, and other part specifications within the math file.
-
Complete NX analyses for assigned subsystems and communicate the results to relevant stakeholders.
-
Integrate component and subsystem designs into larger vehicle systems.
-
Ensure the high-quality and on-time release of math data for components and subsystems.
Virtual Integration
-
Develop virtual integration solutions that support program and vehicle requirements.
-
Apply virtual integration design principles, concepts, theories, practices, and procedures.
-
Perform higher-level assignments involving non-routine problems with broad and dynamic scope.
-
Conduct virtual data queries, analysis, and interrogation from individual parts through complete vehicle integration.
