Onsite -This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lockport, New York, on a full-time basis.
The Role:
The Controls Engineer is an Individual contributor with recognized expertise responsible for troubleshooting, problem solving and continuous improvement on manufacturing equipment throughout the plant.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Work cross-functionally with diverse teams throughout the plant to troubleshoot issues effectively.

Identify and document system vulnerabilities and develop inclusive mitigation plans; track corrective actions to ensure accountability.

Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to promote component reuse and consistency with best practices.

Create and implement tests to efficiently identify opportunities for design improvements.
-
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or 4+ equivalent experience
-
3+ years manufacturing experience
-
Ability to work OT as needed
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
-
1+ years of demonstrated technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment
-
1+ years of experience in Control Architectures:
- PLC: Allen Bradley
- Robotics: Fanuc / ABB
- Vision: Cognex / Keyence -
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
-
Knowledge of high voltage power distribution
-
Knowledge of servo motors, motion control and drives
-
Demonstrated understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process

Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment

Ability to use computers, interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and learn new systems

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results
Compensation:
-
The expected base compensation for this role is: $83,800 - $127,300. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
