The Role
The Program Management role within the Autonomous Robotics Center (ARC) Program Management group plays a critical role in leading technical robotics projects, ensuring seamless execution, and driving innovation in automation and robotics. This role directly supports the Robotics Technology Development (RTD) team within the ARC. This individual will act as a RTD program workstream lead, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, risks, and issue resolution. They will work closely with leadership and other business units to align strategic objectives and technical development goals.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in automation and robotics, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop cutting-edge solutions for the future of manufacturing and production systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead technical projects by serving as the business project lead, establishing project timelines, tracking open issues, and ensuring adherence to deadlines.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with teams across hardware, electrical, software, and other units to ensure seamless program execution.

Issue Resolution: Identify and address project challenges while adhering to escalation procedures and maintaining project goals.

Team Management: Foster collaboration within high-performing teams, proactively identifying and resolving issues to prevent program delays.

Strategic Collaboration: Work with leadership and business leads on near-term planning and strategic issues, managing business complexities, and mitigating risks.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience with program and project management within engineering, robotics, AI, or automation industries.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Strong problem-solving and risk management abilities.
-
Strong ability to drive innovation and manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience working in an Advanced Development or Research & Development (R&D) environment.

Strong background in automation, robotics, or mechatronics.

Proven ability to manage highly technical, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.

Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).

Familiarity with systems engineering principles and model-based systems engineering

Excellent analytical skills with experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Robotics Technology Development Team Structure
The Program Management role is an individual contributor supporting the Robotics Technology Development team, which includes the following groups:

Project Engineering Management: Oversees project execution, scope management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder coordination.

Engineering Design: Leads the design and simulation of electrical and mechanical components and systems, ensuring close collaboration with the software team.

Advanced Controls Group: Develops and implements electrical systems, PLC programs, and control architectures for robust, production-ready automation.

Advanced Robotics Group: Drives robotic system development, including motion planning, system integration, and deployment of advanced automation solutions.

Corporate Software Group: Develops perception, planning, simulation, and control algorithms, and integrates software with hardware to enable end-to-end robotic solutions.

ARC Operations: Manages the safety, daily operations, scheduling, and capital and infrastructure planning for our multiple facilities to ensure they are safe, compliant, and fit for high-velocity robotics development.
