Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Controllership Manager
The Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Controllership Manager is responsible for overseeing core accounting and controllership activities supporting the purchasing and supply chain organization. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and alignment of financial practices with business objectives
.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee General Ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and established accounting policies
- Research and analyze complex accounting transactions and contractual arrangements; prepare and document technical accounting memos
- Maintain and enforce a strong internal control environment, including adherence to SOX requirements and financial control procedures
- Partner with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate accounting implications of key business decisions and strategic initiatives
- Support internal and external financial reporting, including preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and management reporting, ensuring high-quality deliverables within strict timelines
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, proactively managing audit requests and ensuring timely resolution of open items
- Assess and enhance existing accounting policies, processes, and systems to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Monitor, interpret, and implement new accounting standards, ensuring appropriate application and compliance across the organization
Requirements:
- 10 + Years of Experience in Accounting
- CPA (Required)
- Bachelors or Master in Accounting

Foundational knowledge of US GAAP

Experience researching, concluding and documenting accounting issues

Demonstrated ability dealing with complex transactions

Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the - Global HQ Warren, Mi three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]
