The Role
At Flint Assembly, the Quality Planner / ISO Lead is responsible for ensuring the plant is compliant to the Global Quality and ISO 9001 requirements. This includes coordinating quality systems verification activities such as analyzing performance data and driving follow-up on corrective actions and process improvements.
This role works closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to support daily quality review routines, maintain documentation control, and strengthen process discipline across the plant.
Responsibilities

Attend NA QR Lead meetings to help drive common solutions at the local plant.

Complete business plan initiatives and task workflows tied to GQR changes.

Coach and train the plant on quality system and quality requirement changes and implementation.

Maintain quality documentation, annual files, audit plans, and department records tied to quality system requirements.

Serve as BIQ SME for BIQ 24 Quality Management System (QMS).

Manage the QMS audit program, 3-year review process, and plant internal audits.

Lead internal and external ISO 9001 audit preparation, execution, documentation, and follow-up, including coordination of quality system certifications.

Submit open issues/deviations to the quality system, recommend solutions and coordinate responses to corrective actions with focus on global or regional solutions.

Serve as an SME for Quality Systems training for new employee onboarding.

Manage the record center for Quality, including RIM and ILM processes.

Oversee Conformity Of Production (COP) processes for vehicle operations where required.

Provide support for plant council meetings

Support vacation coverage as needed within the Quality Assurance and Operations.
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality assurance, quality systems, audit coordination, or related plant quality operations.

Experience with quality data analysis, reporting, issue tracking, and corrective action follow-up.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach, train, and work effectively across functional teams.

Proficiency with Microsoft software, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Proficiency in SharePoint and aptitude to learn new computer software.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Working knowledge of process control plans, PFMEA, corrective action processes, and standardized work concepts.

Understanding of ISO and IATF requirements

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification

BIQ Principle T3

Quality system auditing experience

Familiarity with quality documentation libraries, audit plans, and plant quality systems administration

Experience supporting management review processes and department quality councils

Manufacturing plant experience, including first line supervision
