Job Description

Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV is looking for innovators who thrive in tough challenges and are passionate about tackling meaningful work that will shape the future of the automotive industry. This role sits at the intersection of manufacturing, vehicle development, and software-defined vehicle technologies, helping ensure new electrical and software capabilities are successfully integrated into production environments.

If you enjoy solving complex problems, influencing cross-functional teams, and enabling the successful implementation of new technologies, we'd love to hear from you.

This Role Is Ideal For

Engineers with experience in manufacturing integration, Manufacturing Engineering, vehicle launches, or electrical systems who enjoy working across organizations to bring new technologies from concept into production while solving complex manufacturing challenges.

Work Arrangement – Onsite

The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. This role requires up to 50% domestic and international travel.

WHY

The purpose of this role is to ensure electrical and Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) requirements are successfully integrated into vehicle programs and assembly plants. This position serves as a key link between engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to enable efficient implementation of new technologies and future vehicle architectures.

WHAT

As an Electrical Manufacturing Integration Engineer, you will drive integration of electrical, software, and Vehicle-as-a-Tester (VaaT) requirements across vehicle programs. You will evaluate manufacturing impacts, develop implementation strategies, and support adoption across assembly plants and pre-production activities.

HOW

Partner with engineering, manufacturing, program, and plant teams to translate vehicle and software requirements into executable manufacturing processes. Drive technical alignment, identify risks early, and support successful implementation across global manufacturing sites.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Drive integration of electrical, Software Defined Vehicle (SDV), and Vehicle-as-a-Tester (VaaT) requirements across vehicle programs, assessing manufacturing impacts and developing implementation strategies for assembly plants.
  • Develop plant and program strategies in collaboration with Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV, Manufacturing Planning, and other Manufacturing Engineering organizations.
  • Serve as the manufacturing voice during program planning, ensuring electrical and software manufacturing requirements are represented and escalated appropriately.
  • Assess manufacturing impacts of SDV and Vehicle-as-a-Tester requirements and develop implementation strategies for assigned plants and programs.
  • Support virtual and physical build events, partnering across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and support plant readiness.
  • Align global cross-functional teams on manufacturing requirements, execution strategies, and program objectives.
  • Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions and time zones to support execution of vehicle programs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing readiness, quality, efficiency, and implementation success.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Experience supporting vehicle programs in Manufacturing Engineering, product engineering, manufacturing integration, or related automotive functions.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and their impact on manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess manufacturing impacts of electrical, software, or product changes and translate them into executable plant-level solutions.
  • Experience supporting launches, plant builds, production implementation, or manufacturing readiness activities.
  • Proven ability to drive alignment and execution across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and program teams without direct authority.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions and deliver results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience working in a vehicle assembly plant environment.
  • Manufacturing Engineering experience supporting body, electrical, general assembly, or launch operations.
  • Experience with Software Defined Vehicle (SDV), Vehicle-as-a-Tester (VaaT), vehicle electrical architecture, or software integration concepts.
  • Product launch, project management, or program management experience.
  • Ability to evaluate product designs and influence design decisions to improve manufacturability.
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites or global vehicle programs.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing planning, tooling systems, and vehicle assembly operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
