GM Fleet is seeking an Account Executive to manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for driving customer engagement, account management, retention, expansion, relationships, and profitable growth across the GM Fleet portfolio.
This is a relationship-driven position that emphasizes account management while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. The Account Executive is expected to engage customers early in the buying cycle, understand business needs, and align those needs with tailored fleet and mobility solutions.
The role is remote-based with regular travel to customer accounts in the assigned territory. The selected candidate will assume territorial responsibility and be located within any of the listed States:

New Hampshire
Rhode Island
Vermont

What You’ll Do:
Account Management & Growth
- Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts and develop account plans that support retention, expansion, and long-term growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive-level decision makers (C-suite)
- Engage customers early in the sales process to identify needs and position tailored, value-driven solutions
- Advance opportunities through the pipeline, lead negotiations, and structure competitive, profitable deals that drive revenue growth
- Drive organic growth (“farmer” mindset) while identifying and pursuing new opportunities (“hunter” capability)
- Partner cross-functionally to support solution delivery, customer success, adoption, and future sales expansion
- Represent customer needs internally and provide feedback that supports ongoing product and solution development
- Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor key performance metrics, and deliver timely, accurate sales forecasts
- Effectively manage multiple priorities, high-value accounts, and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account activity, pipeline, and customer data in CRM systems
- Track and assess performance against key metrics and deliverables, ensuring alignment with goals and benchmarking against peers to drive accountability and continuous improvement
- Deliver accurate and timely sales forecasts through ongoing analysis of sales metrics and a strong understanding of the book of business and business environment
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple high-profile accounts and internal stakeholders
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 5+ years of B2B sales and/or account management experience, with stronger consideration for candidates who bring deeper enterprise-account experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders within complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong organization, time management and planning skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM account management applications
- Experience developing customer-centric, win-win solutions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with strong organization and follow-through
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities while maintaining effectiveness
- Travel required. Must be able to travel up to 75% within assigned region as well as be mobile now, or in the future to relocate anywhere within the United States

- Prior experience in fleet, mobility, automotive, or related commercial industries
- Experience managing large, complex enterprise accounts
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate.
• The salary range for this role is $105,600-$140,700. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
• Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
