The Role:
The Super Cruise Monetization team is seeking a motivated, analytical student to support the development of a new retail subscription sales strategy for General Motors’ advanced driver assistance technology. This project-based internship will provide hands-on experience in customer research, historical data analysis, go-to-market strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will contribute to work that helps General Motors understand customer purchase behavior, evaluate price sensitivity, and identify opportunities to grow subscription sales across multiple customer touchpoints. The Team
The Super Cruise Monetization team leads retail subscription sales strategies and go-to-market campaigns for Super Cruise. The team works across General Motors to understand customer needs, develop business recommendations, and create strategies that support the growth and adoption of subscription-based automotive technology.
You will collaborate with internal partners and OnStar channel partners to evaluate how new strategies can be delivered across multiple sales and customer engagement channels. The team combines customer insights, data analysis, and business strategy to inform decisions that create value for customers and General Motors.
What You’ll Do

Research and analyze sales data to identify insights about customer purchase behavior.

Use Databricks to process and analyze historical data, identify consumer price sensitivities, and evaluate market trends.

Gather and synthesize qualitative insights through focus groups.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners.

Collaborate with OnStar channel partners to evaluate the feasibility of proposed strategies across multiple customer touchpoints.

Organize findings from multiple data sources and translate them into a clear, cohesive story.

Support the development of a sales strategy recommendation for retail subscriptions.

Present research findings, analytical insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Sales, Marketing, Business, Automotive, Data Sciences, Engineering

Must be graduating between December 2027 and June 2029

Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the 12 week summer intenship
Preferred Qualifications

Ability to generate, understand, and present information from multiple data sources in a clear and cohesive manner.

Strategic thinking skills and the ability to integrate diverse perspectives and viewpoints.

Strong computer and systems skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Experience with SQL or Python for data analysis.

Experience in the automotive industry, preferably in sales, marketing, strategy, or analytics.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new tools and concepts.
Start Date
Start dates for this internship role are May 24th & June 14th of 2027.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan - three times per week, at minimum.
GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2027 Student Program - to help facilitate administration of relocation benefits, please apply using the permanent address you would move from.
