This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to GM Warren Technical Center (WTC) three times per week, or as dictated by business needs.
The Chevrolet Assistant Manager, Retail Events is an individual contributor role responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Chevrolet retail and recognition events, with a primary focus on dealer-facing programs. This role manages end-to-end event logistics and related dealer communications to ensure Chevrolet dealers and field team members are informed, engaged, and recognized in alignment with brand, sales, and customer experience objectives.
The individual will partner closely with agency partners (Morley and JMW), internal Chevrolet teams, and field organizations to deliver high-quality dealer events and clear, timely communications that support Chevrolet’s retail and recognition strategies.
What You’ll Do

Lead Chevrolet retail and dealer-facing event strategy and execution across multiple concurrent programs.

Own the Chevrolet dealer event calendar and ensure all major retail, training, and recognition events are planned and communicated at least one year in advance.

Plan and execute the annual Chevrolet Dealer of The Year (DOTY) Event and Elite Leaders Program, managing experience design, location, travel, and production partners.

Co-manage the Chevrolet National Dealer Conference with internal and external partners, including agenda, content, and logistics.

Lead Chevrolet’s presence at NADA and the annual Chevrolet Make-Meeting, coordinating internal experts, agencies, and suppliers.

Plan and execute Chevrolet LMA Leaders Meetings, including in-person sessions, from agenda design through logistics and production.

Plan and execute Chevrolet Dealer Sales Contests (for example: CMA Awards and Daytona 500) including guest experience, travel, and production.

Develop and manage clear, timely dealer communications supporting all retail events and recognition programs.

Manage agency and vendor relationships, and operating processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and strong dealer experience outcomes.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in the automotive industry in lieu of a degree.

4+ years in sales or sales operations.
-
Significant experience in retail sales operations, dealer performance, data analytics, or business operations.

Demonstrated experience planning and executing complex events or projects with multiple stakeholders, ideally including incentive or recognition programs.

High level of organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
-
Strong communication, influence, and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience in Chevrolet or GM retail operations, sales operations, or dealer performance.

Experience working with external agencies and suppliers (event production, travel/logistics, creative, etc.) and managing to scope, budget, and timelines.

Experience partnering with field teams, brand teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to execute business strategy.
