Senior Financial Analyst – Technical Accounting, Controls & Compliance
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – Technical Accounting, Controls & Compliance to strengthen financial reporting, internal controls, and overall financial integrity. This is a skills-based role where the successful candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, discipline in documentation, and comfort working across systems and stakeholders.
Specific responsibilities will be defined based on business needs and the candidate’s strengths, and may evolve to include close activities, accounting policy interpretation, incentive programs, reserves, or other controllership mandates.
Key Focus Areas
Technical Accounting & Policy

Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and their practical application.

Ability to research, interpret, and clearly explain accounting guidance.

Prepare concise technical documentation for management and auditors.
Controls, Compliance & Close
-
Experience within a controls framework (e.g., SOX), including documentation, execution, and testing.

Identify risks and support continuous improvement of processes and controls.

Perform or support period-end close , including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Systems, Data & Automation
-
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/finance systems.

Ability to reconcile data across systems and resolve discrepancies.

Openness to using AI tools and automation to streamline recurring tasks and strengthen controls.
Collaboration & Communication
-
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with finance, ops, IT, and audit.

Clear written and verbal communication, including summarizing complex issues.
Qualifications

Successful completion of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field .

Professional designation (e.g., CPA) strongly preferred.

3+ years in accounting, audit, or controllership.

Proven attention to detail, ownership of deliverables, and ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $97,800.00 to $146,600.00. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
