The Role
The GWM Project Specialist leads key workstreams within Warranty Strategy to support the successful implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment of Global Warranty Management (GWM) capabilities. This role partners across Business, IT, Vendors, PMO, and global country teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements, stay on schedule, and support stable warranty operations
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Project Delivery & Workstream Leadership

Lead assigned GWM workstreams and deliver high-impact solutions aligned to business priorities.

Partner across Business, IT, Vendors, and Project Management to align priorities, requirements, decisions, and timelines.

Manage issue logs, change requests, and project trackers to ensure visibility, accountability, and timely resolution.

Guide vendors and IT teams to deliver milestones across system changes, operational support, and country requirements.

Evaluate regional business needs and translate them into GWM enhancements aligned with global strategy.

Partner with IT to refine system functionality, screens, and business solutions that improve usability and business value.

Provide guidance to regional teams on warranty processes, business rules, system capabilities, and downstream impacts.

Identify system and process issues across GWM SAP and Oracle components and coordinate with IT and vendors on sustainable resolution.

Govern approved business parameters, policies, rules, and configurations in GWM SAP to support consistent global operations.

Design, Testing & Deployment

Lead or support design and build activities for GWM implementations aligned with business priorities and future-state needs.

Drive applicable GWM enhancements to completion on schedule with a focus on quality, value, and operational readiness.

Promote global alignment on localization decisions and enterprise standards.

Develop test strategies, test cases, and test data to validate system integrity and business requirements.

Support production readiness, deployments, and post-deployment stabilization to ensure smooth implementation.

Capture lessons learned and communicate enhancements, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.

Enable a smooth transition to sustain teams through documentation, knowledge transfer, and strong handoff.

Team Development & Continuous Improvement

Mentor Warranty Operations team members on tables and related GWM components to strengthen internal capability.

Expand team knowledge by involving team members in testing, documentation, and project activities.

Support initiatives that improve process efficiency, issue resolution, and operational effectiveness.

Contribute to Aftersales growth, customer and dealer satisfaction, and structural cost optimization.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
-
3-5 years' experience with Global Warranty Management (GWM) or similar global warranty platforms.

Experience with SAP, including business parameter configuration.
-
Experience with Oracle Database in warranty or enterprise application environments.
-
Strong Microsoft Excel skills for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Access or similar tools for data analysis and ad hoc queries.
-
Background in warranty operations, aftersales, or related automotive business functions.
-
Experience supporting large-scale system implementations.
-
Experience with requirements gathering, and SIT/UAT testing.
-
Proven ability to coordinate across Business, IT, Vendors, PMO, and global teams.
