What is TRACK?

The purpose of TRACK is to create a dynamic rotational development program that empowers incoming talent to grow their skills, expand their networks, and gain meaningful experiences across the enterprise. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to multiple functions, TRACK prepares participants to become the next generation of leaders and innovators at General Motors.

What else should I know?

TRACK employees develop their career through the program and benefit from:

  • Networking Opportunities
  • Job Readiness
  • Access to Cutting-Edge Technology
  • Leadership and Mentorship
  • Exposure to Global Operations

Opportunities exist primarily for BA and MA-level students in both technical and non-technical fields. Please review each job posting for TRACK roles for specific requirements.

To apply, you must submit your application to an open requisition by creating a Workday profile and uploading your resume.

Qualified applicants can expect an update on their application status within 2 weeks or sooner of their submittal.

If selected for an interview, candidates are notified by a member of the ECT Recruiting team and are given tips on how to best prepare for their interview.

The interview process can vary but typically involves one 60-minute interview with two leaders from the business. In some technical spaces, the process may also include a technical assessment.

Interview questions explore applicants’ behavioral and technical ability as related to the role and are designed to allow applicants to showcase their experiences, aptitude, and drive.

Candidates utilize scheduling software to select their ideal interview times/dates.

The recruiting team strives to provide to post-interview updates to applicants within approximately two (2) weeks after final interview.
