Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.
Your Role:
The Country Quality Manager leads manufacturing quality for the country operation, overseeing plant quality systems, quality operations, quality engineering, and launch readiness to ensure safe, compliant, high-quality production. The role drives BIQ, leads cross-functional quality issue resolution, and partners with local, regional, and global teams to improve performance and sustain manufacturing excellence.
What You'll Do:

Lead the country manufacturing quality strategy and execution in alignment with GM quality standards, local business requirements, and corporate objectives.

Provide overall leadership for plant quality systems, quality operations, quality engineering, and launch quality readiness.

Ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality production through robust quality planning, execution, and governance.

Drive Built-In Quality (BIQ) implementation, sustainment, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.

Lead cross-functional resolution of quality issues through effective problem solving, containment, corrective actions, and preventive actions.

Oversee manufacturing quality performance, monitor key quality metrics, and drive recovery actions to achieve plant and regional targets.

Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Program Quality, and other stakeholders to strengthen quality performance and operational readiness.

Ensure standardized manufacturing quality requirements are deployed and consistently followed across the country operation.

Support new program and launch readiness activities to ensure quality systems, controls, and processes are in place before production ramp-up.

Escalate major quality risks with urgency, ensure timely decision-making, and drive closure of critical issues.

Collaborate with local, regional, and global quality teams to share best practices, align priorities, and sustain manufacturing excellence.

Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement across quality organization.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualification)
Educational and Experience Background:
-
Bachelor’s degree with a related technical field.
-
10+ Years of experience in the field.
-
Solid experience in automotive manufacturing quality, quality operations, quality engineering, or plant quality leadership, with practical exposure to in-process quality oversight and manufacturing quality execution.
Skills & Abilities :
-
Proven ability to lead teams and provide planning, direction, and governance for plant quality activities in line with local, divisional, and corporate objectives and policies.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, including BIQ/GMS, standardized operational quality requirements, and manufacturing launch quality expectations.

Demonstrated experience in planning, structured problem solving, containment, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

Experience supporting or leading new projects / launch readiness, including cross-functional alignment to ensure robust and standardized launch systems.

Ability to manage and improve quality performance metrics, develop recovery actions, and drive performance to target using plant and regional scorecards.

Strong communication, leadership presence, and decision-making skills, with the ability to escalate issues clearly and drive closure with urgency.
