Assistant Manager, Training & Dealer Sales Cloud Product – Digital Retail Platform
GM continues to enhance its Digital Retailing Platform (DRP), which provides an omnichannel learning, shopping, and buying experience. The platform enables customers to buy or lease their next vehicle 100% online, 100% in-store, or any point in-between.
Role focus: The DRP business team is seeking an Assistant Training Manager, to support the Dealer Sales Cloud, with a focus on enhancements and optimizations that increase dealer engagement and adoption. The Dealer Sales Cloud supports the DRP by keeping the Customer Experience (CX) and Dealer Experience (DX) in sync and by enabling dealers to manage interactions and transactions in one place.
Training responsibilities: In addition to product support, this role manages platform training, including the monthly development of materials aligned to new features/functionalities, dealership requirements, completion tracking, and performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the DX Product Manager – Digital Retail Platform, the Assistant Training & Dealer Sales Cloud Product Manager - Digital Retail Platform will:
- Drive dealer engagement and adoption by supporting and executing high impact, high value Dealer Sales Cloud enhancements.
- Work with the DRP Product Manager to optimize the Dealer Sales Cloud to improve the DX. This includes intuitive use, settings and automating systems to streamline and expedite dealer processes.
- Visit dealerships and/or have a virtual session to gather learnings and feedback to continuously improve the dealer experience.
- Partner with the broader DRP Product team to define, prioritize, and execute roadmap features across the end-to-end DRP experience.
- Drive execution of Dealer Sales Cloud enhancements through structured planning, strong meeting facilitation, risk identification/mitigation, and effective use of product management tools and frameworks.
- Support the launch of the Next-Generation Dealer Sales Cloud by assisting with pilot management and coordinating the rollout schedule.
- Partner with internal team to support key initiatives – e.g., Order Types, CRM/DMS, F&I, Trade book integrations etc. and ensure the DX and CX complement one another.
- Effectively manage and track product development through ongoing meeting management and utilization of our project management tool.
- Develop a myriad of training materials and job aides to support new Dealer Sales Cloud features/functionality – educating dealer and field teams through simple and clear instructions.
- Work cross-functionally with internal and external partners on product release training content and timing.
- Develop and maintain processes for producing and prioritizing training materials to support GM dealer body and field representatives.
- Identify training gaps and work cross-functionally to create Center of Learning courses, training plans, and in-system learning deliverables, inclusive of job aids, videos, and knowledgebase articles.
- Establish training requirements and manage the process of tracking and reporting completions.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related area
- 5+ years of experience in relevant fields including:
- Digital marketing and eCommerce
- Brand marketing and/or Communications
- Product management
- Supplier management (agency, software)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dealer channel / field experience (preferred)
- Agency experience (preferred)
- Training Development/Management experience (preferred)
