The Role
GM is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst specializing in change management to support major technology transformations across a global and complex organization. This role combines strong systems analysis discipline with change management leadership to understand business-unit impacts, define requirements, document future-state process changes, and validate that new platforms support successful organizational adoption.
The successful candidate will serve as a key bridge between business stakeholders, product and engineering teams, and implementation partners. This person will translate platform capabilities and deployment plans into actionable change strategies, readiness activities, and business-specific requirements that support both successful solution delivery and sustained adoption.
Why This Role Matters
This role is critical to ensuring that technology transformation is not only implemented but successfully adopted. The Sr. Systems Analyst - Change Management will help the organization understand what is changing, what each business unit needs, how the future-state solution should support the business, and what is required to drive readiness, adoption, and sustained value realization.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with business, product, technology, and operations stakeholders to define and lead the change management strategy for major technology transformations.
- Analyze target systems, future-state workflows, role changes, and dependencies to understand how technology shifts will impact ways of working across functions and geographies.
- Partner with business unit leads to evaluate software and hardware options and identify the right solutions for their specific needs.
- Translate system capabilities, process changes, and deployment milestones into clear change impacts, readiness needs, and adoption priorities for each business unit.
- Assess needs, define and manage business, functional, and technical requirements, and translate them into backlog-ready work products that support delivery. Validate that solutions align with business needs and technical requirements.
- Document current-state and future-state business process flows, upstream and downstream integrations, role impacts, operational dependencies, and supporting solution documentation to ensure new systems support business needs and enable successful change.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, engineers, and implementation teams during solution design and implementation to align change strategies with integrations, access models, deployment sequencing, and go-live plans. Clarify requirements, resolve gaps, and support a strong handoff into delivery.
- Assess organizational readiness by evaluating stakeholder alignment, user preparedness, support coverage, and business process changes. Identify risks tied to rollout and adoption.
- Lead impact assessments, stakeholder plans, readiness checkpoints, mitigation actions, and transition plans needed to support successful implementation of new platforms, tools, and ways of working.
- Use pilots, demos, system walkthroughs, test outcomes, and feedback loops to identify adoption barriers early and drive adjustments that improve usability, clarity, and rollout effectiveness.
- Partner with technical and operational teams to validate that role-based access, workflow ownership, escalation paths, and support processes are in place to enable a smooth user transition.
- Validate delivered capabilities against business needs, functional requirements, technical requirements, and intended workflows through testing support, user validation, and coordination of issue resolution activities tied to rollout and adoption.
- Monitor change effectiveness through adoption metrics, readiness indicators, user feedback, and post-launch performance trends to measure sustained behavior change and business outcomes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in change management for technology transformation initiatives, advising teams on stakeholder engagement, implementation risk, change readiness, and long-term adoption strategy.
- Lead highly complex, cross-functional initiatives with a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong coordination, and on-time outcomes.
- Capture and share lessons learned, repeatable methods, and best practices across teams to strengthen enterprise change capability and improve future transformation programs.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
