Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid on NIGHT SHIFT . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.

The Role

The Business Services Analyst is responsible for documenting current-state work, capturing business rules, inventorying source systems, archiving deliverables and parameters, and helping prioritize the transition backlog. The role is described as critical for knowledge capture and requirements control to support OnStar.

What You’ll Do

  • Map current work and document end-to-end business rules.

  • Inventory source systems and record data sources that support the process.

  • Identify internal GM sources for manifests, orders, delivery records, packages or Zuora, payments, and OVI claims.

  • Archive deliverables, parameters, and supporting process documentation for transition use.

  • Prioritize work items and support backlog management for insourcing activities.

  • Partner with the Lead / Product Owner / SME and the Data / ETL / Reporting Developer to ensure source-to-output requirements are complete and actionable.

  • Data Integration: Combine all data streams into a central Power BI environment

  • Data Modeling & Cleansing: Create consistent, validated data models for tracking operational KPIs, and customer metrics and program forecasting.

  • Dashboard Development: Design interactive Power BI dashboards for operational tracking/metrics, and leadership executive summary.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)​​  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Sales, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field

  • 3+ Years in Data Analytics / Data Science or related field

  • Data Visualization - Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI – building dashboards, data models, and DAX measures.

  • Background in Databricks, SQL, Python, Power BI, is a plus

  • Reporting Automation - Ability to automate refresh schedules, pipelines, and alerts for Power BI reports. Experience with Power Automate and API integrations a plus

  • Statistical & Analytical Skills - Strong understanding of KPIs, variance analysis, forecasting, and trend detection. Predictive modeling and demand forecasting a plus

  • Strong requirements gathering and process documentation skills

  • Ability to analyze source systems, data dependencies, and business rules

  • Strong organizational skills for knowledge capture and documentation control

  • Good communication skills for working with business and technical teams

  • Ability to convert operational knowledge into structured requirements

  • Experience in business analysis, reporting support, process mapping, or transition work

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications and requirements documentation tools

  • Proven proficiency in analytical tools such as PBI, Power Automate and KNIME

  • Experience documenting business rules, data lineage, and source inventories

  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, make decisions and build trust across the organization

  • Ability to guide team on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timelines

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.

  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quickly

  • Embrace data driven & customer insights to inform plans, launches, and iterations

  • Highly proficient in oral and written communication skills 

  • Background on emerging technological advancements such as AI

  • Strong organizational skills with proven track record of efficiently executing complex projects to completion at a high level of quality

  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills required to effectively collaborate, motivate, and facilitate others in group situations

  • Desire to work in a complex and evolving environment and to bring an innovation mindset

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced start-up technology environment is essential
