This role ensures that product definition, part application, and engineering documentation are accurate and executable for local builds while coordinating closely with manufacturing, quality, material flow, suppliers, and global engineering partners.
This position requires strong ownership, technical judgment, and disciplined follow-up. The successful candidate will lead CKD program planning and readiness activities, provide clear engineering direction during builds, and act as a key communication focal point between local operations and upstream engineering teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead CKD program planning and readiness across engineering, localization, and production timing to support successful build execution and launch milestones.

  • Maintain accurate EPLs, pre-production BOMs, and related product data in SAP to ensure engineering readiness for builds and program execution.

  • Lead investigation and resolution of product-related build issues, part mismatches, missing parts, and engineering discrepancies identified during prototype, pilot, and production builds.

  • Review and confirm correct part numbers, part applications, and engineering intent based on EPL, packing lists, assembly manuals, and physical part validation.

  • Drive engineering change management during planning and execution, ensuring changes are controlled, aligned, and implemented effectively.

  • Drive engineering corrections and follow up on EWO release or documentation updates needed to resolve part-number or build issues.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing, material flow, quality, suppliers, and global partners to ensure timely containment and permanent corrective actions for product issues.

  • Provide PE feedback and technical direction during issue tracking, build reviews, PQRR-related discussions, and cross-functional follow-up meetings.

  • Support trial builds, PPV, MVB, NS build, and SOP readiness by ensuring engineering concerns are identified early and addressed effectively.

  • Oversee prototype and pilot build follow-up with structured reporting, issue tracking, and closure management.

  • Track open engineering issues, action plans, and status to ensure closure before the next build milestone or production phase.

  • Assess product changes, part substitutions, and local implementation requirements to maintain build feasibility and engineering compliance.

  • Analyze program data, dashboards, and technical benchmarks to identify gaps, support fact-based decisions, and recommend improvements.

  • Build and maintain clear KPI and status dashboards, including Power BI reporting, to highlight program health, key risks, and engineering readiness.

  • Act as the engineering focal point for product definition issues affecting assembly execution, serviceability, or build quality.

  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and external partners on technical status, risks, required actions, and engineering decisions.

Key Scope and Accountability

  • Own PE feedback and engineering validation for assigned product issues during builds and launch activities.

  • Ensure product definition is accurate across engineering documentation, part numbers, EPLs, BOMs, and application level usage.

  • Lead cross-functional technical alignment on engineering issues impacting build execution, localization readiness, or material readiness.

  • Drive GVDP-related engineering deliverables and support on-time completion of PQRR, MQRR, and launch readiness requirements.

  • Escalate risks early and drive closure through engineering actions, supplier follow-up, system updates, and documentation correction.

  • Represent the local PE function in communication with global engineering teams and external partners.

  • Support submission of engineering-related customer and stakeholder requirements on time, including technical data, drawings, traceability-related inputs, and forecast needs.

  • Contribute to program budget control and identification of cost-saving opportunities within the engineering scope.
