This role is categorized as on-site. The successful candidate is expected to report to the Advanced Technical Center full time.
The Role -
The Design Visualization Supervisor leads the strategy, team, and execution of visualization and immersive technology solutions that support vehicle design development, reviews, storytelling, and decision-making. This role oversees rendering, animation, real-time visualization, VR/MR/HMD applications, and related digital experiences, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with program timing and business priorities.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the visualization and immersive team across rendering, animation, real-time content, VR, MR, HMD, and interactive review experiences
- Define team direction, priorities, resource allocation, and quality standards
- Drive development and delivery of visualization assets and immersive experiences for design reviews, leadership reviews, and program milestones
- Supervise team members, provide day-to-day guidance, and support performance management and development
- Track and record team workload, monitor resource allocation, and support workload balancing across projects
- Partner with design, CMF, digital sculpting, engineering, and studio operations teams to support business and program needs
- Oversee creation of high-quality storytelling content, including still images, films, configurators, virtual reviews, and interactive experiences
- Guide the use of tools and platforms such as VRED, Unreal Engine, Blender, and related visualization workflows
- Support innovation in immersive technology, including VR/MR, HMD reviews, UX/UI simulation, and virtual collaboration workflows
- Coach and develop team members, build capability, and support performance management
- Improve workflows, processes, and technical solutions to increase quality, efficiency, and scalability
- Manage vendor or external partner support when needed
- Ensure strong communication, cross-functional coordination, and reliable execution across multiple programs
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Strong background in automotive visualization, immersive technology, or digital content development
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional delivery
- Strong understanding of rendering, animation, real-time visualization, and immersive review workflows
- Experience with tools such as VRED, Unreal Engine, Blender, or similar platforms
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong project management, prioritization, and problem-solving ability
- Good eye for design quality, storytelling, lighting, materials, and presentation content
