Description

General Motors LLC is seeking a skilled Designer to contribute to the innovative design and development of bumper, fascia, grille and trim components. This role involves utilizing advanced CAD software and data management systems to create and optimize aesthetic and functional vehicle exteriors.

Job Responsibilities**

* Design and develop bumper, fascia, grille and trim components from concept through production, ensuring adherence to styling, engineering, and manufacturing requirements.

* Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, specifically NX, to create 3D models, assemblies.

* Manage and maintain design data within Siemens Teamcenter, ensuring data integrity and version control.

* Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate various manufacturing processes, including Extrusions, Injection Moldings, Stamping, and Machining Processes, into design considerations.

* Conduct Virtual Integration and Visualization Mockup to assess design feasibility, aesthetic appeal, and overall vehicle integration.

* Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights to cross-functional teams.

* Prepare and present design concepts and technical specifications using Microsoft Office suite.

* Troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions throughout the product development lifecycle.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Product Design process.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or equivalent field

* Proven experience in automotive exterior design, specifically with bumper, fascia, and grille components.

* Expert proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, particularly NX.

* Strong understanding and experience with Siemens Teamcenter for Data Management.

* Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as Extrusions, Injection Moldings, Stamping, and Machining Processes.

* Experience with Virtual Integration and Visualization Mockup tools and techniques.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
