Description
DUTIES : Design, develop and implement thermal management control and diagnostic algorithms for GM’s next generation of EV vehicles. Work closely with multi-disciplined engineering teams to interpret functional requirements to translate and implement appropriate control and diagnostic strategies. Create and integrate software in either MATLAB Simulink models or hand-coded C. Create or modify Unit test cases and Multicomponent test cases to ensure thorough software testing. Explore and understand new thermal systems and requirements to enable controls and software development.10% travel to client sites domestically and internationally. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study. Four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Associate Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineering Intern, Software Test Engineer or related occupation. OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study. Two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Associate Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineering Intern, Software Test Engineer or related occupation Two (2) years of experience in the following: Software coding including C-language, Simulink, Stateflow, GIT environment, plant modeling, and Python; Embedded software and controls development experience; Developing hand code in C language; Compile ECU level software build; Development and testing experience on SIL and HIL; and Jira and Agile Framework.
