Description

The Simulation group is solving one of self-driving’s most difficult problems: evaluating the performance of the autonomous driving software stack before it reaches public roads.

As a software developer on the SimCore team, you will drive the development of our simulation scenarios that enable high-fidelity and high-performance validation of the autonomy stack, as well as the gym environment for reinforcement learning model training. We are looking for an engineer passionate about providing the best developer experience, and who can effectively drive collaborations across large engineering organizations. This role will lead you to learn the ins and outs of our autonomous driving software stack, simulation frameworks, and RL model training.


Required Skills

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years relevant industry experience

  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.

  • Clear track record of effective collaboration with customers and continuous delivery of quality results in a hybrid or remote workplace. Comfortable collaborating across large engineering organizations.

  • Passion for safe, fully-electric, self-driving technology and its impact on the world


Desired Skills

  • Experience with building or extending AV/Robotic simulation

  • Experience working on game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or PhysX.

  • Experience with reinforcement learning, gym environment, or LLM.

  • Strong programming skills in modern C++ and Object-oriented Design.

Compensation: 

The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $164,600. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Description

Le groupe Simulation s’attaque à l’un des problèmes les plus complexes de la conduite autonome : évaluer la performance de la pile logicielle de conduite autonome avant son déploiement sur les routes publiques.

En tant qu’ingénieur(e) logiciel au sein de l’équipe SimCore, vous dirigerez le développement de nos scénarios de simulation permettant une validation haute fidélité et haute performance de la pile d’autonomie, ainsi que de l’environnement d’entraînement (« gym ») destiné à l’apprentissage des modèles par renforcement. Nous recherchons une personne passionnée par l’offre de la meilleure expérience possible aux développeurs et capable de piloter efficacement des collaborations au sein de grandes organisations d’ingénierie. Ce poste vous permettra d’acquérir une connaissance approfondie de notre pile logicielle de conduite autonome, de nos cadres de simulation et de l’entraînement des modèles d’apprentissage par renforcement.

Compétences requises

  • Baccalauréat, maîtrise ou doctorat en informatique, robotique, apprentissage automatique, ou expérience équivalente.
  • Au moins cinq ans d’expérience pertinente dans l’industrie.
  • Solides compétences en programmation en C++ et Python.
  • Expérience démontrée de collaboration efficace avec des clients et de livraison continue de résultats de qualité dans un environnement de travail hybride ou à distance. Aisance à collaborer au sein de grandes organisations d’ingénierie.
  • Passion pour les technologies sécuritaires, entièrement électriques et autonomes, ainsi que pour leur impact sur le monde.

Compétences souhaitées

  • Expérience dans la création ou l’extension de simulations pour véhicules autonomes ou robots.
  • Expérience avec des moteurs de jeu tels que Unity, Unreal Engine ou PhysX.

Rémunération

La fourchette salariale pour ce poste est de 115 000 $ à 164 600 $. Le salaire de base réel offert à la personne retenue dans cette fourchette variera en fonction de facteurs pertinents liés au poste.
