Role Summary:
If you are interested in understanding the future of General Motors Propulsion products – engines, transmissions, and electric drive unit systems – GAIC (Global Artisan Innovation Center) GPS Scheduling has a place for you! This role is a “cross-functional” Leader role. Seeking a Scheduling Lead to own build scheduling, capacity planning, forecasting, and operating cadence for Assembly, Machining, and related laboratory and manufacturing activity. This role turns vehicle and dyno plans into executable schedules, leads cross-functional reviews, resolves priorities and escalations, maintains key business systems, and supports the people, safety, quality, and cost processes that keep the team running. Candidate will lead a diverse group of team members (contract, salary, third-party.)

Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term operational schedules aligned with business priorities.
- Lead recurring planning and prioritization meetings; translate decisions into clear actions and schedule updates.
- Prepare regular performance reports; validate source data, reconcile results, and highlight key changes.
- Develop long-range forecasts, capacity plans, productivity outlooks, and resource requirements.
- Complete recurring operational and quality reporting using current plans, schedules, and actual results.
- Review schedules, resource constraints, priorities, and escalations and coordinate timely resolution of issues.
- Produce routine and ad hoc reports for stakeholders, maintain supporting procedures and documentation.
- Maintain shared business content and support system access, onboarding, updates, and approval workflows.
- Review and approve routine operational, administrative, and system-related requests.
- Lead team meetings and individual check-ins, support employee development, and coordinate recurring business activities.
- Support safety, quality, continuous-improvement, and standardized-work processes.
- Facilitate operational reviews, special initiatives, and collaboration across business functions.
- Present operating updates with clear risks, priorities, decisions, and follow-up actions.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in planning, scheduling, operations, or a closely related environment.
- Strong analytical skills with spreadsheets, forecasts, data reconciliation, and recurring performance reports.
- Ability to translate business plans, demand, constraints, and actual performance into practical short- and long-term plans.
- Experience leading cross-functional meetings, setting priorities, documenting decisions, and driving issues to resolution.
- Working knowledge of shared business platforms, system-access processes, and digital workflow tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines, cross functionally.
Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering related curriculum.

This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Pontiac Engineering Center, Building C on a full-time basis.
