Description

The Marketing Strategy & Intelligence (MSI) Marketing Coordinator supports integrated, data-informed marketing decisions across GM brands. This role brings together consumer, market, competitive, brand, and campaign information; helps translate findings into clear business implications; and coordinates recurring insights deliverables that support brand strategy, creative development, media planning, and marketing performance discussions.

The ideal candidate is curious, organized, analytically minded, and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and priorities. The role partners with brand strategy, creative, media, research, product marketing, and other cross-functional teams to frame business questions, organize inputs, identify meaningful patterns, and communicate insights in a concise, actionable way.

This role will support both Buick and GMC brands.

What You’ll Do:

Marketing Insights & Analysis

  • Support analysis of brand health, consumer perceptions, competitive activity, campaign performance, and market trends to identify relevant opportunities and risks.
  • Bring together findings from syndicated research, brand tracking, campaign measurement, and market intelligence to help answer business questions.
  • Use available research and measurement sources—including Demand Spaces, NVCS, YouGov BrandIndex, YouGov Profiles, Brand Power, Creative Accelerator, and other platforms—to develop fact bases and inform recommendations.
  • Conduct data checks, trend reviews, and exploratory analyses; surface notable changes, relationships, and questions for further investigation.
  • Connect marketing metrics and research findings to brand priorities, campaign objectives, and planning decisions.
  • Monitor automotive and adjacent-category developments to provide context for brand and marketing performance.

Recurring Reporting & Deliverables

  • Coordinate and contribute to recurring deliverables such as brand health reviews, campaign retrospectives, quarterly business updates, and marketing performance summaries.
  • Gather inputs, manage timelines, validate data, and maintain organized source materials and documentation.
  • Summarize key findings, learnings, and implications for future planning in partnership with MSI and marketing stakeholders.
  • Help maintain consistent definitions, KPI tracking, reporting formats, and quality standards across deliverables.

Stakeholder & Project Coordination

  • Partner with brand, media, creative, research, product marketing, and agency teams to clarify requests and align on objectives, inputs, and timing.
  • Coordinate meetings, working sessions, readouts, and follow-ups to keep insight projects moving forward.
  • Translate stakeholder questions into clear analysis plans and identify the right sources, measures, and partners to support the work.
  • Balance recurring responsibilities with ad hoc requests while communicating status, dependencies, and risks.

Storytelling & Communication

  • Build clear, concise PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations that turn complex information into an understandable story.
  • Highlight the “so what” behind the data, including key implications, opportunities, risks, and recommended next steps.
  • Tailor the level of detail and communication style for working teams, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Support readouts by preparing talking points, executive summaries, charts, and other materials that make insights easy to act on.

Ad Hoc Business Support

  • Investigate questions related to consumer behavior, brand perceptions, competitive activity, marketing effectiveness, and category trends.
  • Support custom analyses and special projects tied to brand strategy, creative development, media planning, and marketing priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, templates, data organization, and team ways of working.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, statistics, economics, communications, or a related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in marketing analytics, consumer insights, market research, business intelligence, or a related area.
  • Experience organizing and synthesizing information from multiple sources into clear findings and business implications.
  • Strong project coordination skills, including the ability to manage timelines, details, follow-ups, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated comfort working with marketing KPIs, research findings, and performance metrics.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets for data organization, analysis, and quality checks.
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint and/or Google Slides for presentations and visual storytelling.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience in an automotive, consumer packaged goods, retail, technology, media, advertising, or other complex marketing environment.
  • Familiarity with syndicated market research and brand tracking tools such as YouGov BrandIndex, YouGov Profiles, Kantar, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to Brand Power, Creative Accelerator, Demand Spaces, NVCS, segmentation frameworks, or other brand and creative measurement approaches.
  • Understanding of how online and offline marketing channels are planned and measured.
  • Experience supporting campaign measurement, creative testing, brand tracking, marketing performance reporting, or optimization work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to form hypotheses, investigate patterns, and explain conclusions.
  • Exposure to marketing effectiveness or experimentation approaches such as marketing mix modeling, multitouch attribution, incrementality, or A/B testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to create polished, visually compelling materials for business audiences.
