The Role:
The Enterprise Efficiency Specialist (EES) team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the EES Program Management team and work cross-functionally. The Senior Manager will need expertise in vehicle development processes, high efficiency project and program management techniques driving on-time quality results, developing and leading strong cross functional teams. The ideal candidate must have experience in vehicle program execution and launch, with a solid background in overall vehicle development processes [including program framing, development and execution], and extensive understanding in the operational structure and supportive business functions [Planning/Program Management, Design, Product Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering, Development, Validation, Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Sales, Service].
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Provide cross functional leadership across EES initiatives such as Batch Build, FASSt, Supplier Requirements, Plant Site Efficiency Improvements (Visits)
- Direct program management team driving progress toward enterprise efficiencies and results for EES initiatives including standardized work with the Batch Build process development, execution and application; Scoping and project implementation planning for FASSt
- Look ahead … anticipate risk throughout the development and execution process
- Identify opportunities for additional cost savings, and process improvements throughout initial application and future implementation
- Build and maintain operational work plans, collaboration, alignment and clarity amongst highly ambiguous and changing environments
- Look ahead anticipating future risks, challenges while also Identifying potential new Enterprise savings opportunities
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 15+ years of overall experience in automotive program management, engineering or other cross-functional program execution roles
- 5+ years in program management, engineering or VSSM leadership role
- Expertise in all phases of the global vehicle development process
- Led direct or indirect cross functional teams
- Experience bringing a product through launch
- Domestic travel up to 10% to support projects
- Bachelor’s degree
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- MBA or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle assembly batch building strategies, including planning, logistics, and best practices
- Experience in supply chain planning and/or order fulfillment

Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
Hybrid:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Cole Engineering three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business].
Relocation:
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
