Rashed Haq leads GM’s Autonomous Vehicle organization, driving the strategy and development of next‑generation automated driving systems. With experience spanning theoretical physics, robotics startups, and the commercialization of fully driverless ride‑hail services, he brings a rare mix of scientific depth and real-world autonomy leadership.

Before GM, Rashed served as CTO of Diligent Robotics and previously led AI & Robotics at Cruise, where he helped launch a driverless service that surpassed 5 million autonomous miles and earned a Guinness World Record. His background also includes enterprise-scale AI leadership at Publicis Sapient and research roles at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

At GM, Rashed is focused on building the teams and technology needed to industrialize physical AI at scale. He sees GM’s combination of top engineering talent, massive multimodal data, and unmatched manufacturing capability as a unique opportunity to bring autonomy to millions.
