
Title: Director Embodied AI
Sean Harris is the Director of Autonomy at General Motors, where he leads the development of core autonomous driving technology for GM's Super Cruise autonomous products. With a strong focus on applying machine learning to solve complex robotics challenges, Sean oversees the organizations responsible for delivering safe, eyes-off highway driving capabilities. Prior to joining GM, he held senior engineering leadership roles at Wayve and Cruise, specializing in end-to-end AI systems, behavioral decision-making, and trajectory prediction for autonomous vehicles. Sean holds a PhD in Machine Learning from UNSW Sydney, where his research focused on hierarchical reinforcement learning for robot control problems. He is also a World Champion in the RoboCup SPL autonomous robot soccer competition.
