A quarterly, week-long series of in-person events at our innovation centers. From competitions and career building seminars to ideation sessions and cultural events, GeekWeek helps engineers sharpen their craft, improve software quality, and build connections—driving innovation and shaping GM’s tech future.

Geek Learning

Provides continuous growth opportunities - Take center stage at Think Tank events, with opportunities to present your tech passions to likeminded engineers and GM Executives. From Communities of Practice that share standards and best practices, to self-guided curriculums on GM-specific technologies, Geek Learning helps teams upskill and drive quality. Plus, access asynchronous learning through tailored courses built by GM software engineers.

                                ByteBash
ByteBash challenges engineers to prove their skills through tough software problems, with winners earning champion status and bragging rights. After the competition, join peers to discuss solutions and grow together as a software engineering community.

                                Community of Practice
Geek Experience’s Community of Practice (CoP) brings together software engineers from across GM to share real-world best practices, elevate engineering standards, and strengthen our culture of learning and collaboration. We do this by listening to our engineers and giving them a seat at the table. Designed around the full software development lifecycle—from planning and design through development, testing, and DevOps—these recurring sessions help teams build higher-quality software faster while learning from one another in an open, community-driven forum.
