Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis. This posting is specifically for an afternoon shift (10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday-Friday).
The Role
We are seeking Simulator Operators to support our growing Motorsports program. In this role, you will operate advanced driver-in-the-loop simulator systems and partner closely with race teams to maximize simulation effectiveness in preparation for competition.
This position sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and performance requiring strong hands-on capability, real-time problem solving, and clear communication with both internal and external partners. What You’ll Do

Operate and support simulator sessions for race teams, ensuring smooth and effective execution

Rapidly troubleshoot technical and operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain session continuity

Partner with engineers and race teams to optimize simulator usage and maximize preparation for competition events

Maintain workspace organization and adhere to safety and operational standards

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including problem resolution and process enhancements

Support cross-training efforts within Tech Center Operations

Identify opportunities to enhance simulator workflows, tools, and overall operational efficiency
What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)

Associate degree in a STEM-related field with 2+ years of professional hands-on mechanical experience or a Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Technology, or a related field degree with relevant co-op, internship, or Formula SAE experience

Experience working in an electromechanical environment with a track record of exceeding expectations

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to support off-hours or overnight operations as needed

High level of professionalism and integrity

Able to work afternoon shift, Monday-Friday 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM with flexibility to work other shifts as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field

4+ years of relevant professional experience

Experience supporting motorsports simulation, data acquisition, or analysis

Familiarity with computer-controlled systems, hardware, and instrumentation
