Production Supervisor (Temporary)

Job Summary:

General Motors de Mexico is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor for a temporal role, responsible for overseeing and optimizing processes within our manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities:

* Supervise and lead a team of production operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
* Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams as needed.
* Train and mentor production personnel on best practices for machining processes, including equipment operation, quality control, and safety procedures.
* Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality, and logistics teams to optimize production flow and achieve manufacturing objectives.
* Implement and enforce lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in operations.
* Prepare and present production reports to management, highlighting performance, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, specifically with extensive knowledge of processes.

• Strong understanding of various techniques, tools, and equipment.

• * Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with quality control systems and methodologies relevant to assembly process.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of the organization.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or relevant experience

• Advanced English, able to maintain a fluent conversation

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role

• Shift flexibility: Availability to work on rotating shifts (4x3 schedule).
