The Role:
We are seeking a self-driven Senior Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering team for Connected Apps Systems, focused on In-vehicle Vision (Camera Viewing). In this role, Thermal Vision, Surround Vision, Trailering Vision etc. will be your primary areas of responsibility.
The product system engineer shall lead technical decomposition of Product requirements into System Blueprints for Functions and Testable requirements for SW and HW solutions. They shall support Product, Program and Engineering leads to define the ‘how’ to design, develop, build, test, calibrate, integrate, and validate our solutions and tools.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Lead decomposition of In-vehicle Vision/Viewing Feature, System and Solutions program/vehicle milestone objectives.
- Contribute to deliverables include but not limited to: System Blueprint and Functional Decomposition, Behavior Test Case etc.
- Lead Identification and authoring of API Capability requirements for product area.
- Lead Modeling of System/Feature & API Capability functions in MBSE tools.
- Support CI/CD and Simulation / virtual validation by defining candidate functions to run in the virtual environment for various milestones of vehicle development.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or software-intensive automotive development, Embedded Controls or equivalent development.
- Strong background in system requirements development, MBSE, systems architecture, integration, and validation.
- Hands-on experience with system modeling, simulation tools, and requirements management frameworks.
- Experience in systems engineering and architecture for E2E in-vehicle camera viewing systems (including rear view camera, thermal vision, surround view, interior view, underbody and trailer view camera systems) or related area.
- Well versed in Systems and Controls, Calibration, Testing development processes and tools.
- Proficiency with MBSE and requirements tools (e.g., Rhapsody, DOORS / DOORS Next).
- Experience in Rhapsody, Agile methodologies and SAFe experience.
People Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational agility, collaborative spirit and interpersonal skills to influence effectively all levels of a large organization.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to plan, prioritize work and execute the plan to meet business objectives on time with quality.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient at analyzing unusual and complex issues while driving for results in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Masters degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge of Reliability Engineering, System Engineering and Regulatory Compliance.
- Process Improvement experience.
- Experience in Safety frameworks and standards like FMVSS & ISO 26262.
