This position serves as a key resource for maintenance teams, leaders, and support functions by combining technical troubleshooting, maintenance systems knowledge, reporting capability, and operational follow-through. The role requires strong working knowledge of Maximo/CMMS, maintenance workflows, plant reporting tools, and continuous improvement methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on maintenance effectiveness, downtime reduction, PM optimization, and process stability.
  • Use plant data, maintenance system information, and operating trends to identify losses, prioritize actions, and support performance improvement plans.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for Maximo/CMMS processes, COGNOs reporting, and will act as the SME of the TPM section of the GMS CI Team.
  • Support plant-wide troubleshooting and technical problem-solving by connecting equipment issues, historical information, and plant follow-up into practical corrective actions.
  • Participate in plant-wide OEE/JPH meetings, maintaining heavy involvement with Maintenance projects and initiatives throughout the plant.
  • Develop, improve, and reinforce maintenance expectations, work instructions, and process compliance across shifts and teams.
  • Coach and support leaders and skilled trades on accountability, documentation, and execution of maintenance standards.
  • Partner with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance leadership to resolve chronic issues and improve plant performance.
  • Help evaluate and implement tools, systems, and technologies that improve troubleshooting, training, simulation, reporting, automation, or AI-enabled workflows.
  • Envision, build, and implement practical solutions with minimal guidance or intervention to address plant, maintenance, and reporting needs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years experience in manufacturing maintenance, reliability, or continuous improvement.
  • Advanced knowledge of Maximo or similar CMMS platforms, maintenance planning/control, and work process discipline.
  • Experience with AI implementation and integration in support of maintenance, reporting, troubleshooting, or process improvement workflows.
  • Strong experience with Cognos reporting, Power BI, and SQL coding to build, automate, and improve reporting and decision-support tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into clear actions that improve uptime, flow, and accountability.
  • Ability to envision, develop, and implement effective solutions with little guidance or intervention.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a production environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train, align, and influence both leadership and shop-floor teams.
  • Practical problem-solving mindset with the ability to move between technical detail and high-level operational improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in die cast, high-volume manufacturing, or other equipment-intensive operations.
  • Experience with downtime/OEE analysis, layered audits, standardized work, and plant performance systems.
  • Familiarity with digital tools that support troubleshooting, technical documentation, simulation, automation, reporting, or AI-enabled workflows.
