Description
The assistant Media Manager is a key position within the Performance Marketing in Mexico. This position will drive media strategy and planning for all four brands in General Motors Mexico. You will be charged with driving innovation and pushing boundaries of emerging media to engage with new and returning customers across the country. You will be asked to bring new ideas and strategies that will drive profitable growth by increasing our brands footprint in the country.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the media planning process for retail and brand building campaigns for all GM brands in Mexico
- Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of media plans in a continuous learning cycle
- Develop fresh insights to drive innovation and keep up with current/future trends in media while enabling a smarter and more effective media strategy and buying decisions
- Work effectively with the Brand and Product Marketing teams to understand brand initiatives, objectives, and goals to drive the most effective media plans
- Effectively own and manage the allotted budget and drive appropriate investments and mix
- Meet with media partners and evaluate offerings that contribute to business objectives
- Liaison with GM Research and Marketing Science in the development of reports, mix models, identify and drive media KPIs across all channels and optimization plans
- Develop and foster a strong relationship with corporate team experts including Audience, Ad Tech, and channel leads
- Create and Lead Test & Learn media initiatives
- Present and inform leadership across sales and marketing of media plans
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics; optimize campaign activities
REQUIRED CORE COMPETIENCIES:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in marketing, business or other related fields
- Minimum of 6 years of marketing experience with demonstrated history managing traditional and online media plans
- Demonstrated understanding of all areas of media with familiarity with the various media platforms, technology, and processes
- Experience working with global media agencies and partners
- Successfully managed multiple projects and deadlines in a matrix-driven organization
- Demonstrated ability to present including development of a PowerPoint presentation, oral presentation skills and ability to tell a story resulting in decision making
- Automotive experience – preferred -
- Advanced english level is required
Hybrid: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis.
