Description
DUTIES: Build a vehicle condition simulator and perform end-to-end validation tests for the digital companion. Engage in the Agile process within GM, acting as the Product Owner for the Digital Companion Performance Vertical. Design and develop automated simulation tools and processes to predict customer experience across many conditions, such as vehicles, customer demographics, and languages. Use input test data from the Data Scrum (VAST) and provide feedback to the Data Scrum on additional data needs, improvements, and recommendations. Execute tests, provide high quality analysis of results, and report any issues to appropriate teams. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve speech performance quality issues and improve speech performance quality over time. Develop and execute plans to store tools, processes, test results, and lessons learned. Correlate test results to customer feedback and in-vehicle testing. Stay abreast of any changes in speech technologies and requirements, adjust the testing tools and processes to account for the changes, and communicate any changes made to the appropriate stakeholders. Expand testing capabilities to other speech technologies. Keep the GM End-Customer experience and GM’s credibility at the forefront of all decisions. Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, and cost-reduction. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study. Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Test Engineer, Software Consultant, or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience with: Operations Analysis to analyze product requirements and create designs; Troubleshooting, determining root causes, and fixing operating errors; and Technology Design, including generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs. Four (4) years of experience with: Systems Analysis determining how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes. Three (3) years of experience with: Source and Version Control, including Git. Two (2) years of experience with: Databases, including SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL. One (1) year of experience with software and scripting languages including Perl, Python, C++ and C#, and Javascript, JQuery, and JavaSE.
