This leader serves as a key expert in distribution operations, balancing dealer needs, regional priorities, order fulfilment requirements, inventory flow, and system/process constraints to support GM Canada business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Canadian Regional Sales teams by developing forecasts, monthly objectives and delivering performance reporting consistently and on time.

  • Lead Canadian distribution and order management activities, ensuring accurate and timely execution of consensus and fulfillment processes and critical submissions to U.S. partners.

  • Partner with brands and internal GM teams to develop strategies and provide guidance on tactics and processes that drive optimal allocation and ordering outcomes and the impact to their business units.

  • Manage Canadian logistics and in-transit issues, including held and damaged units, port and rail constraints, and regional shipping challenges, through the team and U.S. counterparts.

  • Support the GM Canada Fleet department with Allocation and Ordering.

  • Lead field staff and dealer training and ensure access to materials that support key distribution and allocation processes, including through the Dealer Communication subcommittee.

  • Lead and develop a team of supervisors and regional distribution assistants by setting priorities, coaching performance, and strengthening engagement, capability, accountability, and execution discipline.

  • Improve reporting and business visibility by advancing Power BI adoption, modernizing legacy reporting, and translating Canadian distribution data into actionable recommendations.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Strong experience in vehicle distribution, order management, and allocation and consensus processes, with dealer and regional operations knowledge and hands-on proficiency.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational issues, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate operational data into recommendations and action plans.

  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.

  • Ability to coach and serve as a subject matter expert for new managers, district managers, and cross-functional partners seeking institutional knowledge in distribution and order management.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Proven people leadership experience, including leading managers or supervisors and developing teams through changing business conditions.

  • Experience working cross-functionally across Canada and the U.S.

  • Strong familiarity with logistics, in-transit issue resolution, rail and port throughput constraints, and the follow-up required to unblock vehicle flow.

  • Experience leading or influencing cross-functional process improvement workgroups and turning recommendations into clearer communication, stronger process discipline, or system enhancements.

  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI, reporting modernization, and operational data analysis to improve visibility and support faster decision-making.
