What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Support accounting and controllership activities for South America regional operations in a multinational environment operating under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Contribute to key accounting processes related to revenue recognition, warranty accounting, and customer programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and appropriate financial visibility across the assigned scope.
- Apply accounting policies, internal controls, and corporate guidance to routine and moderately complex matters, exercising sound professional judgment and working with moderate autonomy.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Commercial, After Sales, Operations, IT, and shared services to support alignment, improve processes, and contribute to sound business decisions.
- Contribute to process improvements, controls enhancement, system initiatives, and automation opportunities across the Controllership function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute monthly accounting activities related to revenue recognition for assigned markets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and internal controls
- Review contracts, commercial agreements, and program structures to support the assessment of accounting treatment, performance obligations, and revenue recognition timing
- Prepare and analyze recurring reports and performance metrics related to revenue recognition and accounting results
- Support system implementations and process changes, including ERP and accounting-related initiatives
- Perform warranty accounting activities accurately and in line with company policies, supporting reliable financial reporting
- Work with global and regional teams to review quarterly reserve adjustments and support appropriate accounting treatment for warranty-related balances
- Monitor customer programs, warranty extensions, and market offerings to support proper accounting communication, consistent treatment, and alignment with reserve methodologies
- Generate and review regular reports on warranty claim volumes, costs, trends, and accounting impacts by country and product line
- Analyze warranty and claims data to identify patterns, recurring issues, and risks affecting accounting results
- Support warranty recovery activities with Finance and relevant business partners whenever applicable
- Ensure compliance with internal control requirements, inventory-related policies, and SOX standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and standardization across accounting and warranty-related workflows
- Support automation initiatives and interface enhancements between systems and accounting processes
- Ensure alignment and effective coordination with shared services teams for in-scope processes
- Support monthly close activities for assigned markets, including Chile, Peru, and Ecuador, with responsibility for revenue recognition and, where applicable, sales incentives
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring readiness of process support materials
- Collaborate on regional and cross-functional projects, contributing accounting expertise and process governance
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor Degree: Accounting
- English from intermediate level
- Experience and knowledge in the accounting area
- Knowledge in SAP
- Solid knowledge in Excel
- Ability to work with a good level of autonomy, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and professional judgment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholder.
What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preference Qualifications)
- Active CRC
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with automation tools or process improvement solutions such as Power Platform, KNIME, or Python
- Experience supporting system implementations or finance transformation initiatives
- MBA or Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Controllership, Business Administration, Information Technology, or Data Analytics is
- desired
- Spanish is a plus
- Experience in multinational environments and regional scope responsibilities is a plus
