What You Will Do?

Coordinate and execute daily quality operations on the shop floor to ensure that products, processes and systems meet GM quality requirements (SPQRCE, BIQ, GMS), supporting the Quality Operations Manager and shop leadership in achieving plant and corporate quality objectives.

Responsibilities:

Daily Quality Performance: Monitor DRR, FTQ, GCA, GSIP and internal defect metrics for assigned area; escalate gaps and support containment / correction. Validate that quality alerts, JES/SOS/TIS and control plans are correctly implemented and followed on the line. Coordinate yard holds / containments, verification of rework and proper release of stock.


Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Lead or support root cause analysis (Red X / 7 Diamantes / 5 Why / Fishbone) for line issues and SPQRCE BPDs. Generate and track corrective actions, ensuring on-time closure and effectiveness checks. Support BIQ/GMS “ask–look–for” readiness for audits and internal calibrations.


Process & System Management: Maintain PFMEA, control plans and SIP/Verification Station documentation aligned with current process.

Use GSIP, GCA, PRTS and other GM systems for data analysis, trend monitoring and reporting. Coordinate change management for quality-related process changes (PFCM, change control, bypass management).


Shop Floor Support & Coaching:  Partner with TL/GL/SL to ensure operators understand quality standards, defect definitions and escalation paths (Andon, CARE, etc.). Provide feedback and quick training refreshers on quality topics (defect recognition, error-proofing use, reaction plans).

Participate in layered audits, GMS/BIQ walks and 5F/ops meetings as quality representative for the area.


Safety & Compliance: Ensure that quality activities and rework processes comply with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

Support tracking and closure of quality-related findings from ISO/IATF, BIQ, WSS and internal audits.

Work Appropriately

  • On Site: This position requires working on site on a full-time basis.

  • This position requires to change shifts (4x3)

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience in manufacturing quality or production operations.

- English: Upper-intermediate manages technical vocabulary, participates actively in meetings, gives simple presentations, and writes clear reports.


Working knowledge of:

- PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP basics.

- BIQ / GMS concepts and layered audits.

- Problem solving methods (Red X, 7 Diamond, 8D, etc.).

- Ability to analyze data (Excel / Power BI / GSIP reports) and translate it into clear actions.

- Strong communication skills to interact with operators, GL/SL, ME, - Maintenance and leadership.
