Modality: Hybrid, 3x a week

Purpose:

Responsible for being the voice of the customer within GM, ensuring that the product reaches the final customer according to the company’s quality standards, and overseeing the condition of vehicles stored in GM yards. Focused on achieving flawless launches and providing effective and timely solutions to reported issues, aiming to ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the company’s objectives in terms of market share, quality, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Product Development Quality activities for New Projects launches, aligned with program quality direction.
  • Contribute to Go-to-Market readiness using lessons learned and regional benchmarks.
  • Support Product Quality Readiness Reviews for new launches.
  • Analyze test issues, identify preliminary root causes, and accelerate source follow-up.
  • Execute Port of Entry quality activities for incoming vehicles.
  • Support retrofit and reflash actions to secure a flawless start of sales.
  • Diagnose dealer claims and port-damaged units to confirm root causes and proper warranty processing.
  • Apply problem-solving tools and issue technical reports for dealers, yards, and PDI teams.
  • Coordinate parts shipments for analysis, including customs compliance and failed-part dispatch.
  • Track issue breakpoints with sources, plants, and suppliers, and support key quality forums.
  • Monitor GM yards and dealer PDI yards to detect and report emerging quality issues.
  • Audit dealer PDI yards and warranty claims to ensure inspection and quality standards are followed.
  • Contain yard issues to protect IPTV performance and warranty cost results.
  • Perform yard vehicle preservation, identify deterioration, and ensure NOT OK units are repaired before release.
  • Monitor field issues and defined action plans to support timely resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Advanced or fluent English, with the ability to communicate effectively in technical and global business environments.
  • Spanish is desirable, considering interaction with teams across Latin America.
  • Experience in program management and product launch support.
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes.
  • Knowledge of quality, quality auditing, ISO tools, and launch processes from a quality perspective.
  • Technical engineering knowledge and understanding of vehicle components, with the ability to support problem analysis and technical issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of data management and data analysis.
  • Power BI and other local analytical tools experience is desirable.
  • Education, experience, or strong interest in innovation, artificial intelligence, and new technologies is desirable.
  • Behavioral profile focused on innovation, a differentiated perspective, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}.

The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role.

This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
